Top 3 No-Brainers to Check Before Launching Your E-Commerce Site

There are many important elements in creating a successful self sufficient e-commerce site. The “no-brainers” can often be overlooked, so here are my top 3.

Does each page, product, and image load properly?

It’s a no-brainer to make sure that, if you want customers to purchase items from your website, the website works. Starting at the front page, take the time to check each category page, product page, and content page to make sure it loads quickly and correctly.

In my experience, the majority (by 80% at least) of visitors and ultimately conversions (buyers) came to my website and purchased using Internet Explorer versions 6 and 7. Using different computers and browsers, test each and every page and image to make sure it loads properly, and looks good!

Tip: If your e-commerce service or app automatically generates a site map, use that as your index of links to all your pages, and test each one from there.
